1. What is the Central Idea of your concentration?
My concentration focuses on airports and the isolation that is shown through them. When most people think of airports they think of busy populated places, but I wanted to show them in the opposite view. Without people running and rushing through, airports are quiet and desolate locations. They demonstrate confined places that seem to be removed from the rest of the world.

I used angles and picture framing to help show the emptiness of these airports. The angles I looked for display large skies with limited composition on the ground. I used this technique in slides 2,5,7,10, and 11. In other frames, I zoomed into the subject to limit the amount that can be seen. This allows me to further give the impression that these airports are unoccupied and solitary. This is seen in slides 1,8, and 9. When I found areas with vast emptiness, I used angles that gave the effect of never-ending isolation, such as in slides 4, 11, and 12. Finally, the use of lighting at sunset in slides 2,4,6,10, and 12 gives the illusion that the airport will disappear into isolation.
